I was driving behind one of their dump trucks (truck was branded HOLCIM, but Boulder Wall Constructions hold responsibility for the truck) full of 20mm gravel on the Pacific Motorway on 6February2019. Gravel fell out of the back of their truck and cracked my windshield. The crack was 8CENTIMETRES on the day of the impact and grew to 33CENTIMETRES IN 3days!!! I saw the gravel for long enough in mid-air to be 100% CERTAIN it came from their dump truck driving in front of me. I told this company (specifically BRAD TURNER, the logistics manager) what happened and they said they REFUSE to compensate me as I "didn't see the 20mm gravel leave the dumptruck tailgate".
HOW STUPID IS THAT?? They are demanding that I see a 20mm piece of gravel touch the dumptruck tailgate and then 1MILLISECOND later not touch the dump truck tailgate as it becomes airborne on its way to smash my windshield - THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!! Especially when I'm driving at 110km/hr on the highway trying to concentrate on driving safely. It’s an absolute RIDICULOUS COP-OUT EXCUSE to NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for damage this company has caused me! Even the HOLCIM transport manager, DAVID KING, said that was an UNREASONABLE (read RIDICULOUS) request.
I'm now out of pocket to get my windshield replaced and this company after MANY MULTIPLES of communication still REFUSE TO DO THE RIGHT THING. THIS IS A BAD COMPANY !!
GOOGLE: Please contact me if BWC request to get this review amended/removed. I have not violated any of your TERMS AND CONDITIONS and can back up all my above claims with proof of emails from BWC and HOLCIM/photos/Invoices of my out of pocket expense/ANYTHING. I WANT THIS REVIEW TO STAY UP FOR PERPETUITY!
